APPLICATION SCREENSHOT The challenge
Coordinating nonprofit-style operations means tracking activities that are often managed separately: campaigns, resources, volunteers and contribution entries. HopeLink brings those activities together in a single demonstration application.
What I built
A responsive Python/Flask application backed by SQLite, using shared Jinja templates and custom HTML/CSS/JavaScript. The app includes a public overview, campaign views, a volunteer registration flow, resource inventory and an administrative dashboard.
Protected administrative actions, server-side validation, CSRF handling and route/workflow smoke tests illustrate practical backend engineering choices.
Core workflows
- Manage sample campaigns and progress information.
- Register volunteers and record their skills or availability.
- Track example resources and inventory stock.
- Record simulated pledges and review summary information.
- Navigate a responsive dashboard designed for desktop and mobile.
Outcome and honest scope
HopeLink is a portfolio simulation, not the website of a real operational NGO. Seeded identities, contributions and campaigns are fictional. The pledge flow records sample entries only—it does not accept payments or verify donations. No live hosted backend is claimed.
